Legit old skool smoked fish joint. Definitely something different. Salmon was very good try as much as you can they r all different. Watch out for bones.

  • Daryl W.

Stopped here after seeing the Triple D episode yrs ago. Fish spread was excellent. I like my potato salad warm and that's how they serve it... With bacon piece. Yeah... I enjoyed it. Lol

  • Kelly V.

A must eat in St Pete. Literally my favorite restaurant on the planet! The smoked mullet is to die for! Save the cheeseburgers for Port of Call in New Orleans. Your order is in the name.

  • Jade Trish H.

Been a customer of Ted Peters since I was a small child. Very cool place with great service and the best smoked mackerel you will ever eat.

This place is awesome. One of my all time favorites. Portions are big enough to share.

  • Kirk

The smoked mullet was $9.99 per pound, $10.74 with tax. Excellent mullet. Fresh, caught daily.

Skip the sides and go straight for the smoked fish. Salmon and Mahi were great.

  • Robert C.

Excellent smoked Mahi-Mahi, and fish spread. Cheeseburger was nothing special, 1/3 pd frozen patty like at most restaurants. For the Best Burgers go to Beach Buns and Burgers on St Pete Beach.

  • Michele R. heart icon on user image

Best smoked fish spread and German potato salad! Smoked salmon dinner is big enough to share.

  • Rosemary N.

Best place in town for smoked mullet, fish spread, and cheese burgers! Amazing German Potato salad and root beers are served in an ice cold glass mug...just like the old days.

  • Eva 🐾 B. heart icon on user image

The smoked salmon is the most amazing salmon I've ever had. If you order the dinner, make sure you share with someone, it's a lot of food.

  • Harry H.

Fabulous smoked mullet. The dinner is a pound of fish. We split a dinner. Cash only.

Nothing less than a shrine to smoked fish. Simple fare, rustic setting, and NOT a seafood restaurant. Smoked fish spread a must (take home)!

  • Natalie J. heart icon on user image

Share a plate charge of $2 but the portions are humongous! Still have some to take home!

  • Tom E.

There was nothing in their fish spread to make you want it again and their Manhattan clam chowder tasted more like beef soup.

  • ChicChandra T. heart icon on user image

The fish spread is a local must have. If u dont ge5 it, dont tell a soul u went.

  • Lori B.

Amazing burgers & fishpotato salad is incredible, too. Cash only!

Cannot go wrong with the smoked salmon. Cheeseburger is great as well!

  • Gulfscapes

Along the eastern Gulf Coast, mullett is a delicacy. At Ted's, grab the smoked mullet and potato salad. Can't go wrong.

  • Glenn M. heart icon on user image

Large portions of fish. Order the dinner and pay the $2 to share.

  • Renaissance Hotels

Don't leave St. Petersburg without trying the smoked mullet here. They've been making the same way for 50 years. For more local tips, follow us on 4sq or check out www.renhotels.com.

Highly recommended by friends from Ocala who say that it is worth the drive down.

  • Bill H.

Great smoked fish and the best burgers in town. Love the RootBeer in a frosty mug too.

  • C M. heart icon on user image

Beware: cash only (if you have $15+ items on your menu, "cash only" is unacceptable). Charging $3 to use the ATM is a rip off. Get the smoked mullet. The other food is good, but the mullet is unique.

  • Donna Pope L.

Frosted Mug of Beer goes great with the smoked fish dip.

  • Consta K. heart icon on user image

Smoked fish, smoked fish spread, service. Casual.

The smoked Mahi-mahi was really good.

  • Jennifer C.

The burgers are good and so is the potato salad. However the service is mediocre and the atmosphere ordinary. They're closed on tuesdays for some reason.

Don't leave this smokehouse without trying on the mullet. (It isn't what you think.) The mullet is prepared as it has been for more than 50 years, smoked in red oak, and it simply tastes like heaven. Read more
